Reflection On Shoot #20
Me and Tom filmed on sunday evening at Tom's house for the party scene. We set up a projector in his room against a white background to try and simulate a club or party. The projection we used was from the Daft Punk video 'Rollin' and Scratchin'. This footage was good as the video itself was set in a club and used projections. The song was also long so we could film for long intervals. The footage in the end looked nice as it was in a confined space and gave the impression that there was a lot more people than there actually was. One of the limitations was the fact we couldn't film shots of feet or very high angles due to the carpet on the floor. Another problem was the Shadows cast by the projection on the fall you could often see the figrig and tripod so we had to be careful to frame the shots correctly. We also had some problems with streaming the projection due to the internet connection in Tom's room. The wet weather also played a party as we planned to do cueing footage and outside. Overall the shoot could have been better with more people however we now have some substantial footage to put into our next rough cut.
