Reflection On Shoot #19

Me, Tom and Andy filmed in Leeds on Tuesday to get the last encounter/sequence for the rough cut. This involved getting footage around Leeds in the dark arches as well as filming in a busy street and at the record shop. First of we took the train into Leeds in the morning and arrived on time to plan. We filmed in the dark arches and got all the footage we needed. This could have been a problem as we where told we needed filming permission after we had gotten all of the shots we needed so that was fortunate. We filmed industrial footage after that outside on the road and then headed into the middle of the city. We set up the cameras by a bench in order to film a long take of a busy street which planned to be sped up in the editing. The only problem met here was avoiding pedestrians as it was a busy time of day. We broke up for lunch and returned to film the record shop sequence afterwards. Once we arrived at the shopping centre we got to the record shop. Thankfully the people working there where very helpful and where more than pleased to let us film. We got a variety of shots in the shop as well as the poster stuck on the wall. Only problem here was to make sure we watched the equipment at all times so it wasn't lost or stolen. Overall it was a successful shoot and we got all the footage we set out to attain and even more.
